Blackhomeschoolers.com is the online presence for The Black Home Schoolers Association. We started our organization not just as a meet-up for existing homeschoolers but to encourage others to homeschool. It is our belief that the public school system is not the best way to educate our children. We feel that homeschooling our children is the best investment in their future that we can possibly make.

After years of sending our oldest children to public school we determined that they needed more than what public school had to offer. Our children experienced abuse from other students and unfair treatment by school administrators. We quickly realized that our children’s education wasn’t important to anyone but us. With so much at stake we decided to take things into our own hands. Assuming the position of a helpless victim was out of the question. Taking action was the only option.
